Liquid Staking
Problem
Typically, in a Proof of Stake network, the network is secured by a group of validators, who in turn are secured by financial security. In return for locking these tokens, validators are rewarded according to the number of tokens they hold.
In order to maintain economic security, there is usually an unbundling period when attempting to unlock tokens. It limits the opportunities of generating extra returns on those tokens from the DeFi ecosystem.
